Ernie Ball Announces New Luke III & JPXII




Ernie Ball Music Man has announced new Steve Lukather and John Petrucci signature models on Winter NAMM 2012; the new Luke III and JPXII signature guitars...


The Luke III features a larger Alder body, (3% larger profile than the standard model Luke guitar), 22 fret full rosewood neck and new passive Dimarzio pickups with custom Music Man active preamp.

New electronics include a dual Humbucking or H-S-S pickup configuration, volume control and a passive tone control with a new Push/Push switch for an adjustable 12 db Volume boost.


Similar in style, the Luke III exhibits a broader, more defined tone while retaining the familiar shape and feel as the original Luke model. Other standard features include a Music Man Vintage tremolo and 5 way pickup selector switch. Available in Black or Olive Gold finishes, the new Luke III retails for $2500 for HH or $2550 for HSS option.




And new Petrucci JPXII, we can see John returns to basswood. 

New JPXII has Basswood body, maple cap, mahogany tone block, mahogany neck. Stainless steel frets on a 20" radius. Available in both 6 and 7 string models, and priced the same as the JPX and JPXI...
